Art You Can Wear — Art You Can Perform

Art You Can Wear — Art You Can Perform

"Čiurlionija” — a word that carries warmth, gratitude, and deep meaning. It is how many lovingly describe the M. K. Čiurlionis National School of Art and its uniquely creative community.

This is where I grew — first as a student, later with the great privilege of returning as a teacher. For a long time, I believed this path would never change. Teaching felt natural, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling.
And then… žiogai hopper ties happened 🙂
(A creative leap that changed everything.)

I would be lying if I said I never dreamed of dressing my own Čiurlioniukai — the young artists of this school — in accessories born from my creative world. And now, here it is: a dream made visible 💥

Art You Can Wear — Art You Can Perform

Seeing children wear our neckties during their art school performances is something words can hardly capture. These are not just accessories — they become part of the stage language:

  • a visual accent during a piano recital

  • a confident detail in a choir or orchestra performance

  • a finishing touch for theatre, dance, or multidisciplinary art shows

Each necktie reflects what these children are learning every day at art school:
discipline, imagination, courage, and individuality.

When a young performer steps onto the stage wearing one of our designs, it feels like a quiet dialogue between generations — between tradition and contemporary design, between education and independent artistic voice.

A Peak Moment of the Creative Journey

This moment marks the creative peak of my 2025 journey — and one of the most meaningful recognitions in 11 years of working alongside “žiogai”, our creative family.

It is not about fashion alone.
It is about belonging, continuity, and respect for art education.

With Deep Gratitude

My sincere thanks go to the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art.
I bow with gratitude and pride.

To see young artists wearing our creations while presenting what they have learned — this is the highest honour a designer could wish for.
